New dress
Made this dress the other day. Pleased that I am getting the fit better. Although this could easily be rectified if I decided to make a proper pattern… I kind of like the trial and error though.
The Makers
So I came across this website/project by Jennifer Causey, and was so pleased to see nice photographs of makers in their studios in NY. Especially when the makers are people/companies I’ve looked at and admired, before. Example; Stanley & Sons, Mast Brothers chocolate, Best Made company. It’s also a good sign when you see a few of them have mt tape collections.
I think this needs to be done in London…

Nightshirt
I don’t have much time lately; I’ve been busy. When I do get down time, I’m reading or making clothes- here’s something I made recently on a day off:
Not technically outstanding but my most accomplished piece to date, with a pocket, collar, buttonholes, and sleeves. And side darts. It’s alright I think, for no pattern (I guessed measurements using the white Gap shirt) and no drawings/plans!
